Strategic Projects
During 2019 - 2020 the PPI undertook a Strategic Review. One of the conclusions of this Review, was to extend the scope of the Institutes research into financially related aspects of later life and also introduce projects to track the actual behaviour and decisions of DC savers, and another to articulate a framework for UK pensions and to report on progress against this framework in the years ahead.
In early 2020 work began on The UK Pensions Framework and The Pensions Data Project.
Additionally a longer term area for strategic development was identified looking at setting up (or re-establishing) a network in order to advance research and knowledge on the extensive topic of retirement, long-term savings or investing. This area of strategic development is currently under investigation.
