Roshni Thakrar
Roshni is a qualified solicitor with over a decade of experience working in the City across various sectors. She currently serves as Legal Counsel at a FTSE100 company, focusing on in-house work related to pensions, financial regulations, general advisory, ESG and commercial matters.
A champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, Roshni is particularly passionate about neurodiversity and achieving greater gender parity. Being dyslexic herself, she has organised events to educate others on the gender, ethnicity, and disability pensions gap. Additionally, Roshni has facilitated personal development sessions on imposter syndrome and adaptability in the workplace.
Much of Roshni's recent work revolves around neurodiversity following her diagnosis of dyslexia in 2022. As the co-chair of her company's neurodivergent network, she explores how to create an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive. Her efforts in this area have earned her two prestigious internal awards in February 2024: the "Rising Star of the Year" and "Employee Network of the Year" awards, recognising her significant contributions toward shaping a better workplace culture.
Outside of work, Roshni hosts the "Prim Rose Light" podcast on Spotify, covering mind, body, soul topics, climate change, and other relevant issues. For the past twenty years, she has volunteered in her local community, organising career fairs and supporting youth mental well-being initiatives. When the weather is warm, you can find Roshni enjoying a game of tennis.
