Mariana García Requejo
Senior Policy Researcher
Mariana García Requejo is a researcher and policy analyst with interests in gender and systemic inequalities, care work, social and economic rights, and development. She holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics, where she concentrated on welfare analysis, social policy, and feminist economics.
Mariana has worked in various roles, including supporting research, campaigns, and communications at Amnesty International, where she contributed to advocacy initiatives and human rights reporting across the Americas. She has also been involved in public policy projects at Fundación Idea think tank, in Mexico City, focusing on strengthening judicial systems to address transnational organized crime.
Outside of her professional work, Mariana enjoys boxing, photography, and film, pursuits that serve as both a creative outlet and a source of inspiration for her perspective on social challenges.
