The PPI UK Pensions Framework, in association with Aviva, is a multi-year project that tracks how the UK pension system is performing against a set of core objectives, which overall determine the financial security that people have in later life.

The PPI UK Pensions Framework identified fairness, along with adequacy and sustainability, as a key objective of the UK pension system. At a time when there is growing concern over inequality in the UK , this year’s UK Pensions Framework report looks at how factors relating to fairness could be contributing to outcomes in later life. Specifically, it asks how differences in income, wealth and health might affect pension saving and living standards in retirement, and in what ways the UK pension system could be perpetuating, or moderating, their impact on the experience people have of living through later life.
