Briefing Note 100 - 100th Briefing Note
As the Pensions Policy Institute reaches its landmark 100th Briefing Note, it is worth reflecting on how much change there has been since its inception in 2001.
This Briefing Note details the main pension policy changes between 2003 to the present, as well as outlining how our current pensions landscape may change in the future due to a number of reviews and initiatives for both State and private pension. These include the Automatic Enrolment Review, the introduction of the Lifetime ISA and the pensions dashboard among others. It concludes that many questions still remain in the pensions arena including the trade-off between affordability and adequacy as well as questioning the role of defaults, nudges, incentives in private pensions.
